Welcome to The Guided Breath — a space where your body leads the way. Through gentle, trauma-informed breathwork, we create a safe environment for you to reconnect, release, and restore at your own pace.
As your system softens and finds balance again, you may begin to notice more ease, clarity, and peace within yourself. Subtle changes can ripple outward — in how you breathe, relate, rest, and move through your day.
This is a space to breathe — to feel safe, supported, and more at home in your own body.
These 75-minute sessions are an invitation to slow down with your breath and to gently explore what your body may be ready to release or integrate.

Trauma-Aware BioDynamic Breathwork in Geelong & Online
Together, we weave functional breathing techniques, conscious connected breathwork, gentle touch, and somatic awareness. These practices aren’t about striving or fixing; they’re about offering your body space to soften, unwind, and remember its own rhythm of balance.
Founded by Nikki McGann, The Guided Breath is grounded in the understanding that healing arises from within. My role as a facilitator is not to ‘fix’ or change you, but to hold a compassionate, trauma-aware space where you can listen deeply, connect with your breath, and rediscover your natural capacity to regulate, release, and restore — in the ways that feel right for you.

If you’ve lived through trauma, breathwork can sometimes feel tender. Sessions are guided with safety, choice, and gentle pacing at the heart. You’ll always have space to move at a rhythm that feels supportive for your system — resourced, never rushed, and always in your control.
Together, we co-create a space that honours where you are, what your body needs, and the pace at which healing wants to unfold.

What Makes This Work Different
Not all breathwork is the same. My approach is trauma-informed — which means we move gently, with safety and choice at the centre of everything we do.
Rather than pushing for release or intensity, we work with your body, at the pace it’s ready for. Healing happens in small, manageable steps that help your system stay steady and grounded.
We use principles like titration (taking things one small piece at a time), pendulation (moving between activation and calm), and resourcing (finding what helps you feel supported and safe). These simple rhythms help your body learn that it can open, release, and return to balance without overwhelm.
Every session is co-created and responsive — guided by your breath, your body, and the energy that unfolds in the moment.
This way of working honours your body’s innate wisdom and allows change to happen gently — through safety, presence, and deep listening.

Why I work in a three-session series
Breathwork is most transformative when approached as a journey, not a single experience. The body and nervous system need time to build safety, trust, and capacity before they’re ready to release what’s been stored.
Working together over three sessions allows us to move gently and intentionally, creating a somatic experience that unfolds at the pace your body feels ready for. This framework supports your system to settle, open, and integrate — rather than overwhelm or rush the process.
Each session deepens your connection with your body and breath, allowing your system to guide the work naturally. Through breath, movement, sound, and gentle bodywork, we bring awareness to where tension, emotion, or energy may be held and create space for release and integration.
From a committed healing perspective, this three-session approach honours the rhythm of your body and the layered nature of transformation. It’s not about fixing or forcing anything — it’s about building a relationship with your breath, cultivating inner safety, and supporting change that feels grounded, embodied, and sustainable.
